Your Wedding Day... The most precious and beautiful day of your life!  Thank you for considering Ilanga Estate for this special event!  We know that this is an exceptional occasion for you and would like to assure you that from our side, we will do everything to ensure that the planning and proceedings concerning the function will run as smooth and successfully as possible!


We have five rooms available for functions:
• Ilanga Hall for up to 300 people sitting around tables of 10 - including dance area.
• Amanzi Hall for up to 120 people sitting around tables of 8 - including dance area
• Dinaledi Hall for up to 180 people sitting around tables of 10 - including dance area
• Ruma I for up to 48 people sitting around tables of 8 - Sorry - NO dance area available
• Ruma II for up to 64 people sitting around tables of 8 - including dance area
• Ekhaya Lapa - next to the swimming pool - for up to 32 people sitting around tables of 8 - Sorry - NO dance area available!


We also have the Ilanga Chapel on the premises, which can seat up to 200 guests!
We offer and serve a choice of menu items, subject to quality and / or seasonal availability.  Buffet as well as plated menus are available!  We are flexible and open to discussion should a client require a particular flavour to their menu!


To ensure guest relaxation and comfort during any function, we employ waitrons / runners to attend to their every need.  The number of waitrons / runners required depends on the number of guests and menu.  Waiter charges are included in the cost per delegate.
We require clients to brief us with regard to their requirements for the provision of a cash bar, full bar or wine and malt bar on their account.  Clients are welcome to set a ceiling on the total bar spend for their account.  Our management team will gladly assist you, by advising how to save and control bar accounts where necessary.  We do not allow bringing any wines, spirits or food to the premises for consumption without prior consent from Ilanga Estate Management.


The provision of Ilanga Estate's standard furniture and equipment is at no extra charge.  The client at his / her own cost should hire any additional items not listed under “venue hire”.


Venue Hire Includes:
• rental of room for the time period specified
• administration cost
• co-ordination, planning and executing of the function
• standard tablecloths in white or biscuit colour
• full table set-up including crockery, cutlery and glassware
• podium
• easel for display of floor plan and guest list
• chair covers in white or biscuit colour - only in the Ilanga Chapel


Venue Hire DOES NOT include the following, which is for the client's own account:
• audio visual equipment
• flowers, candles or any decor
• napkin holder / serviette rings
• menus & place settings
• chair covers in reception venues


The payment of the "venue hire" will serve as a confirmation of your booking.

Please fully complete your details on the deposit slip and fax the slip to Ilanga Estate at 051 436 8259.  Please use your name and the date of your function for the reference number.  Failure to comply will delay confirmation of your reservation.


Please note that Ilanga Estate has credit card facilities. Kindly inform management if you wish to make alternative arrangements.
Children under the age of thirteen years will be charged 50% of the agreed adult menu price.  Toddlers under five years will be charged 25% of the adult menu price and babies of one year are free.


The services of our management and co-ordination team are available to clients throughout the planning stages and final executing of their function.  We can supply you with names of photographers, florists, candle suppliers, and much more at NO extra cost.  Kindly note: clients are free to make their own choices!
Set up and cut off times will be confirmed, subject to availability and will be charged accordingly.  A staff overtime rate of R200.00 per hour, or part thereof after 24h00, will automatically be added to your account. Please - music has to be turned down by 50% after 24h00.
